This week's featured camp is near and dear to my heart because it's the one my own children look forward to all year long. This will be their third year going to Circle D, and I anticipate many more in the future! What my kids like about Circle D is that they get to do a little bit of everything - swimming, sports, nature study, visiting the horses, and playing outside. What parents love about it is that it's good old fashioned fun - the kids come home filthy, tired, and happy! They have a family cookout for lunch one day each week, so you can go and have your camper show you around the farm. And for those who need it, Circle D even offers bus transportation!
Circle D Farm Summer Day Camp
Circle D Farm Summer Day Camp is located on 150 acres of farmland set in the hills of western Howard County, with over 40 acres of woods for nature walks, a large pavilion for play and shade trees for relaxing. There is plenty of room for campers to play and enjoy the activities and amenities at Circle D, to include: swimming, arts and crafts, team sports, homestead day, mini golf, horse and tack, contest, cook-out day, snack bar, private bath house, playing fields, farm animals, and the BEST camp counselors!
We strive to provide our campers with a philosophy in action that will enable them to encompass values learned here for their entire lives – reaching out to others through team sports, fun and shared experiences. The thrill of learning something new, the confidence of being physically fit, the fun of outdoor play, and the excitement of new and lasting friendships all add up to a memorable experience each camper will treasure for years to come.
