Wagner Meats is a 3rd generation family-owned business and has been a prominent part of Mt. Airy since 1954. William E. Wagner Sr. started the business in February 1954 and it has grown to what we are today. William E. Wagner and Thomas Wagner took the business over in 1973 due to the passing of William Sr. (their father, my grandfather). William (Billy) Jr. retired from Wagner Meats in 2001 and has since been put back on the payroll in March of 2017. Tom Wagner just retired in April of 2017 and gave way to Michael (Mickey) Wagner to carry on the Wagner Meats tradition of providing wholesome food to the surrounding communities.
Wagner Meats is a strong believer in supporting local organizations such as the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Department, Lisbon Fire Department, community organizations, youth programs, etc. We at Wagner's Meats believe we need to strengthen the community in which we live, shop and dine. Wagner's has been supporting local farmers since 1954. We sell locally raised, no hormones, grass fed and grain finished beef, pork, lamb and veal. We custom process (slaughter, cut, vacuum seal and freeze), wholesale and retail. We make our own sausages, beef jerky, beef sticks, Billy's beef lunch meat, smoked sausage summer sausage etc. If you don't need a whole side of beef we also put together smaller packs (Beef Bundle, Little Porker, Variety Pack, Cookout Pack and Large Variety Pack). We are a complete butcher shop!
